Ivy collects nomination form

Abul Hossain, personal assistant to Ivy, collected the form on behalf of her from local Election Commission office on Sunday, confirmed Returning Officer Nurujjaman Talukdar. Meanwhile, Khokon Shaha, secretary to Narayanganj City Awami League and a close associate to ruling party lawmaker of the constituency Shamim Osman, hailing the party’s decision to nominate Ivy, said he would work for her. On October 18, Ivy got the nomination from a ruling AL meeting held at the Gono Bhaban residence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Earlier, on Tuesday, Narayanganj City Awami League in an extended meeting proposed the names of three leaders excluding the name of Ivy to the central committee as mayoral candidates for the city polls.
