The Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) election has been suspended until October 30 by the High Court.
The order was given on Monday by a High Court bench led by Justice Md Habibul Gani during the hearing of a writ challenging the candidacy of SM Farhad, the GS nominee of the panel supported by the Shibir-backed United Student Alliance.
Barrister Jyotirmoy Barua appeared for the petitioner, while lawyer Mohammad Shishir Monir represented the Dhaka University authorities.
