Two BNP offices were set on fire in Bogra on Tuesday night.

According to local sources, supporters of BNP-Jamaat, under the guise of quota protests, engaged in violent clashes in various parts of the city for about three hours, culminating in an attack on BNP offices.

However, the BNP Bogra unit General Secretary Ali Azgar said that Chhatra League and Jubo League members are responsible for this incident.

Both Chhatra League and Jubo League have strongly denied these allegations.

District Chhatra League President Sojib Saha said: “We don’t know anything about arson and vandalism at Bogra BNP offices.

Meanwhile, protesting students said that they blocked the Satmatha-Tinmatha road for half an hour in front of the new building of Government Azizul Haque College in the morning.

As they returned to campus, miscreants detonated 2-3 crude bombs, injuring four third-year honors students.

The injured claimed that the attack was carried out by the Chhatra League's Mahfuz group.

Students also claimed that police did not take any action against the attackers.

Bogra Sadar police station Sub Inspector (SI) Rahim Uddin said that they had no instructions to take action.

District Commissioner Saiful Islam said that three platoons of BGB members have been deployed to maintain law and order.
