On the fourth day of the Bangla Blockade program on Thursday, students in Chittagong were obstructed by the police during their march.
When the students broke through the police barricade and proceeded with their march, the police baton-charged protersters.
The incident took place at the Tiger Pass intersection in Chittagong city on Thursday afternoon.
The students arrived at Chittagong Baitul Mukarram Station by the 2:30pm and 3:30pm shuttle trains.
They then attempted to march towards the Tiger Pass area of the city, where they faced police obstruction.
After a half-hour of verbal altercation, the police baton-charged the students as they tried to move forward with their march.
Despite these actions, the students continued their march and took position at the Gate No 2 area, where the police also remain deployed.
