Children explore Russian fables with 'Shoishob' at Dhaka Lit Fest

‘Shoishob’ works on play based learning, innovative ideas on both indoor and outdoor games and more

Several Russian fables, including “Ivan” were explored by children attending the fourth and final day of the 10th edition of Dhaka Lit fest on Sunday, with Farhana Mannan and her team “Shoishob.”

The session for kids and their parents was held at Bangla Academy's Novera Hall at around 11:15am.

Shoishob works on play based learning, innovative ideas on both indoor and outdoor play, family involvement, parental guidance. 

During the session, the team played with the children and taught them about many interesting topics. 

Farhana Mannan also talked to the parents present at the session about how to give the children a good childhood.

The fourth and closing day of the 10th edition of Dhaka Lit Fest is packed with activities. 

The day started with spiritual music “Kirtan” at Bangla Academy Lawn at around 9am. 

The hour-long sitting will be followed by four sessions from 10am to 11am, which are - “SandBox: Future is Now”, “Nobody's Children”, “The Bangla-English Conundrum”, and “Future Scientists.

A total of six other sessions are scheduled for 11:15am to 12:15pm, which are - “Desertion”, “On Ground Zero”, “The Future of Poetry in Today's Era”, “Shoishob”, “Micro Tales”, and “ Is the World of Gaming Sexist?”

There will be many more hour-long sessions throughout the day till 5:15pm.

The closing ceremony is set to start at around 5:30pm. It will include a dance performance at Bangla Academy's AKSB Auditorium. 

Later, at around 6:30pm, the main attraction of the closing event -- a concert by Coke Studio Bangla-- will take place.
