Indian High Commission introduces online payment for visa processing fee

Update : 04 Oct 2017, 06:33 PM
The Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs), managed by the State Bank of India on behalf of the High Commission of India, has initiated a "cashless" visa application system effective from Wednesday. This facilitates the process as applicants will be able to pay the visa application processing fee using online modes of payment. Applicants will need to fill out the application form and make the payment online, before visiting an IVAC for the submission of application form. The Indian High Commission in Bangladesh has been taking various initiatives to make the visa application process simpler and applicant-friendly, said the High Commission on Wednesday. The online payment facility is only available to Bangladeshi passport holders. The previous (existing) mode of payment through mobile wallets will continue until further notice. The new initiative of visa application system will significantly reduce the waiting time of applicants at IVACs, said the High Commission.
