Swimmers win medals in India

Bangladeshi swimmers won multiple medals in the 76th World Long-Distance Swimming in Murshidabad, India on Sunday. 

Roman Akhter and Sonia Akhter Tumpa secured the 2nd and 3rd places respectively in the 19-km women’s event, while Faysal Ahmed became 2nd in the 19-km men’s event.

Bangladesh’s 12-member team left for India on August 22 to take part in the competition hosted by Murshidabad Swimming Federation. After the successful endeavor, the team is scheduled to return home today.
