Dhaka Mariner Young’s Club emerged as the unbeaten champion of the Cute Women’s Handball League 2019 after beating Arambagh Krira Sangha by 33-30 points in their last match at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in Paltan Wednesday.
Mariners won all of their eight matches to clinch the title for the second time in a row.
Mariners finished with maximum 24 points, scoring a total 392 goals in the process, while Arambagh ended third with 18 points.
Madaripur Handball Training Center, who beat Quantum Foundation by 81-23 points in the day’s other match, finished as runners-up with 21 points.

Madaripur’s Meneeka was adjudged the player of the tournament.
A total of nine clubs took part in the event where Dilkusha Sporting Club, Viqarunnisa Noon Sports Club, Jamalpur Sports Academy, RN Sports Home, Quantum and Gafur Beluch Smrity Sangsad finished third to ninth respectively.
This is the third title for the Mariners, who won it for the first time in 2005.
Their last title came four years ago, while Madaripur ended runners-up for the first time.
