Aramabagh Krira Sangha earned their second win in the Premier League football despite playing with 10 men for 35-minutes against Saif Sporting Club at Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Stadium, Mymensing on Tuesday.
In the other match of the day at Shahid Bulu Stadium of Noakhali, Chittagong Abahani Limited and Team BJMC ended with a goalless draw.
At Mymensingh the first half remained goalless as neither team could create any clear-cut chances. In the tenth minute of the second-half Arambagh’s midfielder Arafat Hossain fouled Saif’s South Korean striker Park Seung-il and received his marching orders from the referee.
Despite the numerical advantage Saif failed to keep the pressure. Rather, Arambagh got a goal in the 76th minute courtesy of their Nigerian marksman Matthew Chinedu.

Chinedu received the ball from forward Arifur Rahman in the penalty box and placed home with a powerful shot after controlling it with precision.
Arambagh made a poor start to their campaign as they were beaten by a solitary goal against Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra but clinched a superb win in their second match as they beat falling giants Mohammedan Sporting Club 4-1.
With the win on Tuesday, Arambagh now have six points from three games and are on the second position in the table behind Bashundhara who have equal number of points from three matches. Saif Sporting, who won their first two matches in the league, tasted their first defeat of the tournament and currently are in the fourth spot on goal difference.
Meanwhile the barren game at Noakhali, the first goalless affair in the tournament, brought the first point for BJMC and took Ctg Abahani’s point tally to five.
