Bangladesh U15 boys' team is confident of getting their first win in the UEFA-assisted four-nation football tournament in Thailand when they face familiar foes Maldives in their third and last match of the tour at Chang Arena in Buriram on Friday at 3pm Bangladesh Standard Time.
The young booters earlier began their campaign with a 4-0 defeat against favourites Cyprus before playing out a 1-1 draw against the hosts Thailand on Tuesday.
“If we can beat Maldives with big margin then we have a chance to finish as runners-up. We will try to score from the beginning and expand the lead,” said head coach Mostafa Anower Parvez Babu.
Parvez also talked about the players’ condition after playing two matches in three days. “A little bit of pressure on the players as they have to play the matches with only one-day gap. Hoping to see all the players recover fully before the game.”
