Khulna Titans may not have any superstar in their ranks and they are not considered as the pre-tournament favourite either, but the side are ready to keep their spirit, and wish to become the champion in the sixth Bangladesh Premier League.
Mahmudullah is known as Bangladesh team’s unsung hero, who delivers for his side in crisis moments, despite not being the most discussed player, and the philosophy of his side in the BPL is same.
They will try to attain success with a quiet, calm yet spirited manner.
Mahmudullah was upbeat ahead of their first match of the tournament against defending champion Rangpur Riders.

The match will commence at 5:30pm in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Sunday.
“Everything is going fine. Still it is a new season. Everyone targets to become champion. We will play for that as well by the grace of Allah. Our team are very balanced in both sides. I think every captain will say their side are the best. But, at the end of the day, it is to be seen how we are performing on the field, and whether we are giving our best effort. We will try to give our best effort in every match,” said Mahmudullah Saturday.
After the side’s inception two seasons ago, they reached the top four on both occasions, and their bowling unit seemed to be their forte.
Skipper Mahmudullah believes they will be even stronger in their most potent department this season.
“I think our bowling has a lot of variety. We have chinaman, leg-spinner, left-arm spinner in our side. We have quick fast bowler. Lasith Malinga is an experienced bowler. We have some very good batsmen like [Dawid] Malan, [Brendan] Taylor in our side. We have some good local cricketers. It is to be seen how we can perform,” said the 32-year old.

Mahmudullah emphasised on playing as a team, and putting their best effort.
“On paper we may not have any superstar but we have very useful players who are effective in all disciplines. We have to play as a team. Last year we tried to carry the same thing. We will try to create the same thing this year. We will try to create the condition where we can give our best effort,” concluded the skipper.
