Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning and Timothée Chalamet are all set to bring a youthful glimmer to Woody Allen’s next yet to be titled film.
This will be Woody Allen’s third with the Amazon Studios, as the company previously worked with Allen on Cafe Society and the upcoming Wonder Wheel, starring Kate Winslet and Justin Timberlake. Amazon Studios also distributed the filmmaker’s debut foray into television, Crisis in Six Scenes.
As always, Woody Allen’s films are notoriously secretive affairs and true to form, this project isn’t even being announced with a log line, so it’s unclear who these three twenty-something stars will play.
Selena Gomez, a former Disney star, was the executive producer of the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why and starred in The Fundamentals of Caring and James Franco’s In Dubious Battle. Recently, she wrapped up recording the voice of Mavis in the upcoming Hotel Transylvania 3, which is supposed to come out in September 2018. She has been also spending her time wildly in successful music career, delving into the fashion world as a handbag designer with the American brand, Coach.
Elle Fanning was most recently seen alongside Nicole Kidman and Kirsten Dunst in Sofia Koppola’s The Beguiled and starred in psychological horror The Neon Demon. Her upcoming films include Mary Shelley and Reed Morano’s I Think We’re Alone Now, Mélanie Laurent’s Galveston and Max Minghella’s Teen Spirit.
Timothée Chalamet, who is known for his work in Homeland and Interstellar, recently played the lead in the critically acclaimed Call Me By Your Name, which is to be released later this year. The film received a positive response followed by its première at Sundance in January, and has been hailed as a possible contender for the Oscars.
Woody Allen’s upcoming film Wonder Wheel is set on Coney Island in the 1950s which will make its world première at the New York Film Festival in October.
