Actors Shajal and Adhora Khan are set to share the screen for the first time in Ritukamini, an upcoming film directed by Zahid Hossain, known for his film Matritwa.
Adhora plays Kumkum, a college student, in a departure from the glamorous roles she has portrayed in previous films. Deepa Khandakar plays Kumkum’s mother.
Adhora said the role gave her an opportunity to explore a different side of her acting. She also praised Zahid’s filmmaking and described working with Shajal for the first time as a special experience, adding that she had a longstanding crush on the actor.
Shajal plays Jamal, a character he described as different from his previous screen roles.
Speaking about the project, Shajal said Ritukamini has an engaging story that he believes will appeal to audiences. He added that the cast had worked hard to deliver their best performances.
The film is expected to be released in cinemas soon.
