James Bond auction features Craig’s ‘Skyfall’ Suit, de Armas’ Dress

Daniel Craig’s suit from “Skyfall” and Ana de Armas’ dress from “No Time to Die” are among more than 400 lots featured in an online auction of James Bond memorabilia organised by Propstore.

Running from October 6 to 27, the auction features costumes, props, posters and literary collectibles from the long-running film franchise, spanning 6 decades of James Bond’s screen history.

Craig’s grey Tom Ford suit, worn in the 2012 film “Skyfall”, is among the sale’s most valuable items, with an estimated price of £20,000–£40,000, equivalent to approximately Tk 3.3 million–Tk 6.6 million.

The suit appeared in the film’s opening sequence in Istanbul, where Bond pursues an assassin across rooftops and onto a moving train. The lot also includes the accompanying shirt, tie and cufflinks.

A navy dress and sandals worn by de Armas as CIA agent Paloma in “No Time to Die” (2021) carry the same estimate. The outfit appears in the film’s Cuba sequence, where Paloma joins Bond on an operation.

The auction also features a British quad poster for “Dr. No” (1962), the first James Bond film, with an estimated price of £8,000–£16,000, or approximately Tk 1.3 million–Tk 2.65 million. The film introduced Sean Connery as the British secret agent and launched the screen franchise.

Literary collectibles include a complete set of 14 first editions and first impressions of Ian Fleming’s James Bond books, published by Jonathan Cape. Estimated at £20,000–£40,000, the collection comprises 12 novels and two short-story collections, rebound in leather and housed in a matching slipcase.

Another lot is a hardback first edition of Fleming’s 1958 novel “Dr. No”, in its third impression, signed by Connery, Bernard Lee and Joseph Wiseman. Connery played Bond in the film adaptation, Lee portrayed M, the head of the British Secret Service, and Wiseman played the title character.

The sale brings together production memorabilia from across the franchise, alongside books and printed material connected to Fleming’s original stories.

The online auction closes on October 27. Bidders can view the catalogue and participate through Propstore’s website.
