The trailer for “Drishyam: The Conclusion," the third installment in the Hindi “Drishyam” franchise, has been released, introducing Jaideep Ahlawat as a new police officer determined to uncover the truth Vijay Salgaonkar has hidden for years.
Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay, while Tabu reprises her role as Inspector General Meera Deshmukh. In the trailer, Meera remains determined to expose Vijay’s involvement in the death of her son, but this time she has an ally in Ahlawat’s Rajveer Singh Tomar, a superintendent of police with the Crime Branch.
Prakash Raj also joins the cast as a lawyer.
Meera’s pursuit takes a darker turn in the new trailer as she declares: “I don’t want justice anymore. I want revenge.”
Vijay, meanwhile, appears increasingly aware that the carefully constructed story protecting his family could finally unravel. He tells his family that what awaits them is no longer a game of wits but a game of destiny.
The film also brings back Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav, alongside newcomers Ahlawat and Prakash Raj.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is written by Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan, and Parveez Shaikh. It is presented by Star Studio18 and produced by Panorama Studios.
“Drishyam: The Conclusion” continues the Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam “Drishyam” franchise created by filmmaker Jeethu Joseph.
The first Hindi film, released in 2015, introduced Vijay as a family man who goes to extraordinary lengths to protect his daughter after she becomes involved in the death of a teenage boy. The 2022 sequel followed the family’s efforts to stay ahead of the investigation.
The third film is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 2 and is being positioned as the concluding chapter of Vijay Salgaonkar’s story.
