Manam Ahmed's son Mechanix guitarist Zeheen Ahmed found dead

Renowned keyboard player Manam Ahmed's son Zeheen Ahmed committed suicide on Saturday afternoon at his house. A close friend of Zeheen confirmed the incident to the Dhaka Tribune. His father Manam Ahmed could not be reached over the phone. Manam is a member of the iconic rock band Miles. His body was taken to Labaid Hospital after he was found. Dhanmondi police identified the cause of death to be hanging by a rope in the preliminary inspection. According to hospital sources, Zeheen hanged himself around 3pm in his Dhanmondi apartment. His family took him to the hospital around 3:35pm. Doctors pronounced him dead at 4:40pm. Family sources have said Zeheen will be buried Saturday night at their family graveyard after the autopsy is conducted at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Zeheen played the guitar for heavy metal band Mechanix. He formerly also played for alternative rock band Nemesis. His death comes a mere two days after the suicide of Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington, of whom Zeheen was a huge fan. Chester also hanged himself on the birthday of one of his closest friends, Soundgarden and Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell, who also killed himself.
