'The Family Man' Season 4 officially in development

Fans of The Family Man can look forward to another chapter, as the creators have confirmed that Season 4 of the hit spy thriller is officially in development.

Speaking to Variety India, co-creator Raj Nidimoru said work on the new season is progressing quickly, with the writing already well underway. While no release date has been announced, the upcoming season will stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Raj revealed that Seasons 3 and 4 were conceived as a single, continuous story rather than two separate narratives. He said that although some viewers felt Season 3 ended abruptly, the creators believed the main storyline had reached its intended conclusion.

"The only unfinished thread was Srikanth Tiwari's personal journey, which was always meant to continue into the next season," he said.

Season 3 shifted the action to Northeast India, moving away from the terrorism-focused plots of the earlier seasons. The story centered on political tensions surrounding Project Sahakar, with Jaideep Ahlawat portraying the primary antagonist, Rukma.

The finale also featured a crossover appearance by Vijay Sethupathi's character from Farzi, further expanding the shared universe created by filmmaking duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D K.

Led by Manoj Bajpayee, The Family Man follows the life of intelligence officer Srikanth Tiwari as he struggles to balance high-stakes national security missions with the demands of family life.

Although Prime Video has yet to announce a premiere date, the confirmation of Season 4 signals that Srikanth Tiwari's story is set to continue.
