Acclaimed filmmaker Taneem Rahman Angshu has officially announced his next directorial venture, titled Limbo, marking his return to feature filmmaking after the critically acclaimed No Dorai.
The announcement was made through a Facebook post on Monday, where the National Film Award-winning director unveiled the film’s first poster and shared a cryptic message hinting at its themes.
“No matter how many light-years apart the distance may be, the pull of a familiar feeling never fades. At the boundary between emptiness and fulfillment, the stories of losing and finding become one. WELCOME TO LIMBO!” the post read.
While details about the plot remain under wraps, the poster indicates that Limbo is currently in the pre-production stage. The film is expected to hit theaters in 2027.
Although the cast has not yet been officially announced, Angshu hinted that the project will feature some of the country’s most popular artistes.
Taneem Rahman Angshu made his feature film debut with No Dorai in 2019. Starring Sunerah Binte Kamal and Sariful Razz in lead roles, the film received widespread critical acclaim and earned several accolades. Sunerah won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance, while Angshu received the National Film Award for Best Director.
