Shakib Khan's 'Taandob', which was released on Eid-ul-Azha and produced by Raihan Rafi, is still running in cinema halls with great fanfare. In the middle, the movie was caught in the grip of piracy. At that time, Shakib Khan was not seen talking about it. Finally, Shakib Khan became vocal about the issue.
Shakib appeared in the cinema hall on June 22 after the movie was released. A special show of the movie 'Taandob was organized at the capital's Sony Cineplex. The movie was watched by the king of Dhaka cinema there. At that time, he confronted the media personnel.
Shakib said, 'Bangla cinema is running with respect all over the world today. A malicious group has risen to destroy that place. The movie that is doing well is being targeted for piracy. I will say, this is not just against cinema, it is a conspiracy against the country.’
Also, before the start of the movie, Shakib said, “That nation that moves forward culturally is the most developed. Just when we are moving forward with our cinema and culture, our movies are being pirated. We have seen that in the case of the movie ‘Borbaad’. Piracy was done even earlier in the case of the movie ‘Taandob.’”
However, he thanked the audience and the administration for the fact that despite piracy, the audience is still watching the movie in theaters.
Shakib said, ‘I thank the movie lovers of the country. Because, even after the piracy, they are still watching the movie in the theater. Our movie is still going housefull. This is a kind of struggle of the audience. To save cinema, every person must stand up against piracy.’
Director Raihan Rafi, producer Shahriar Shakil, Redoan Roni, Gazi Rakayet, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Sabila Noor, AK Azad Setu, Salahuddin Lavlu, Suman Anwar, Mukit Zakaria were present at this special show.
