Coke studio returns with season 3

Coca-Cola announced today that coke studio will be returning with season three on April 13. Building upon the success of previous seasons, season 3 has more than 180 musicians and artists from across Bangladesh and the world, coming together to create new memorable songs and soulful musical fusions.

 

Season three will have total of eleven new songs which will feature artists of a wide variety from many genres of Bangla music. Like the first two seasons, Shayan Chowdhury Arnob is the music curator for season 3. He will be joined by other music producers such as Pritom Hasan, Emon Chowdhury, Shuvendu Das Shuvo and others.

With the first two season’s success reaching a global audience, many international artists have reached out to be part of season three. But among the new faces, some of the old faces will return including Arnob, Pritom, Emon Chowdhury and Meghdol. Fans eagerly anticipate new exciting collaborations between their favourite artists. The iconic Habib Wahid will also make his Coke studio Bangla debut.

Coke Studio Bangla has successfully popularised Bangla music globally with fans between ages of 18-34, from across the globe. A little over 80% of the fans are from Bangladesh, with India leading behind in second and USA in third.

 

Krishnendu Chattopadhyay of Dope Productions and Adnan Al Rajeev of Runout Films have both directed on the visual output of the newest season. Coke Studio Bangla is available on Spotify, the official music streaming partner as well as on YouTube.

 

Coke Studio Bangla was launched as a digital first platform to engage the youth and digitally savvy audiences. In the first two seasons, Coke Studio Bangla had over 446 million views and with over 3.3 million subscribers on YouTube. Coke Studio Bangla continues to bring Bangla music to the rest of the world and provides a unique musical experience. It is also a compelling case on the success of Smart Bangladesh.
