Actor Suhani Bhatnagar, known for playing the role of young Babita Phogat in Amir Khan’s movie Dangal, died allegedly after receiving the wrong medical treatment, according to Indian media.
She passed away at the age of 19 on Friday.
Her Dangal co-star Aamir Khan‘s production house confirmed her death on X and extended condolences to her family. The post reads: “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family. Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace.”
Indian media reports that Suhani was undergoing medical treatment for a fractured leg at AIIMS Delhi before her death. The reason behind her death is still unknown. The report suggests that complications arose from fluid accumulation in her body that triggered a reaction to the medication.
Suhani Bhatnagar became well-known for her outstanding role in Dangal. She shared the silver screen with famous actors like Amir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Zaira Wasim, and Sanya Malhotra. Following the success at Dangal, Suhani also acted in a bunch of advertisements.
