Bangla Tribune Editor, Zulfiqer Russell and Indian singer, Nachiketa Chakraborty released their song "Shey Ekta Gaachh" under the banner of Bangladeshi ZuTi Music on June 2.
National Film Award-winning lyricist Zulfiqer Russell wrote "Shey Ekta Gaachh" to depict the suffering of a fallen man using the tree as a metaphor. Tunai Debasish Ganguly composed the music for the song.
Nachiketa states on the collaboration, “The number of unreleased songs I have with Zulfiqer Russell, are probably more than the ones we have released. This is one of those songs. I don't think I need to say anything about Zulfi's poetry or literary context, but I will say the mood of this song is quite different from any of our other music.”
Russell said on his experience working with the Kolkata based artist, “working with Nachiketa is different. He is a singer, composer and a great lyricist. Naturally, he has a depth in his understanding of words and how he evaluates them. I love the lyrics of this song and I hope my audience will enjoy it.”
Reportedly the Nachiketa-Zulfiqer duo will be releasing more songs in succession under ZuTi Music.
