Nuhash Humayun will be the first Bangladeshi to get his content featured on the US-based OTT platform Hulu.
Hulu will officially unveil the name of the content soon, he told Prothom Alo
He further added that the project will not be a web series, but a single content which has been made in both Bengali and English languages.
Bangladeshi content might have been available on Indian OTT platforms but a Bangladeshi content is set to be released on a US-based OTT platform for the first time.
Somewhere in the middle of this year, Nuhash signed a deal with two Hollywood agencies – Anonymous Content and Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
He was able to earn work on the project for HULU thanks to one of those agencies.
The project was not only directed by Nuhash but he also wrote the screenplay and it has been filmed in Bangladesh with Bangladeshi actors.
The filmmaker said that the content has already been sent to Hulu so now they are waiting for the official announcement of it alongside the revelation of the names of the actors.
Nuhash's short film “Moshari” recently won the best horror film award at the Hollyshorts Film Festival in the United States. The film also partook in the Cannes Film Market to create a variety of opportunities, including funding and co-production.
“Moshari” was screened at the South by Southwest festival in the US before Cannes.
The film was later appreciated at the Indie Meme Film Festival and for participating in a festival in Korea last month.
The producer obtained applause globally for his anthology series “Pett Kata Shaw” which has been aired on the streaming platform Chorki.
