M Night Shyamalan, director of The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs, has released the first trailer of his new horror film, ‘Old’, boasting an impressive international cast.
Shyamalan’s last film ‘Glass’ came out nearly two years ago, in 2019. Based on Pierre Oscar Lévy and Frederik Peeters’ graphic novel ‘Sandcastle,’ his latest film will hit the theatres on July 23.
Penned by Shyamalan himself, the film adaptation revolves around a group of tourists who start to age suddenly and rapidly on a mysterious beach. As they all fail to leave, a horrible claustrophobia sets in, with the possibility of dying in a matter of time, looming large on the horizon.
Starring including Gael García Bernal, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Vicky Krieps, Abbey Lee, Embeth Davidtz, and Rufus Sewell, 'Old' has been shot in the Dominican Republic by cinematographer Mike Gioulakis, who also shot contemporary acclaimed films 'Us' and 'It Follows.'
