Bengal Foundation’s Eid specials

To spread the magnificence of Bengali music among local music aficionados, Bengal Foundation is releasing an array of albums featuring voice artists from different generations. These well-known tracks from the Bangla music scene will be released on the occasion of the upcoming Eid. Paying tribute to the virtuosos of Bengali music, here’s a glimpse at the five soon-to-be released albums.Shurer BadhoneWith Ashu Chakrobarty’s instrumentals, the album offers Bulbul Islam and Shraboni Sen’s rendition of eight love songs of Rabindranath. The album consists of both of their solo and duet tracks, including “Ami Tomar Shonghe Bedhechi” and “Bhalobashi Bhalobashi”.Dekho Re ChittokomoleThe album consists of Shemonti Manjuri’s rendition of different Tagore tracks, with Pratush Bandyopadhyay’s instrumentals. Tracks of the album include “Ami Jokhon Tar Duare”, “Ami Tarei Khuje Berai”, “Kar Milon Chao Birohi” and others.Moder Gorob Moder AshaAs the title suggests, the album consists of Atulprashad’s tracks, along with several other tracks of Dwijendralal and Rajanikanta. Atulprashad’s tracks include “Momo Moner Bijone and “Moder Gorob Moder Asha”, while Dwijendralal Roy’s “Bela Boye Jay” and “Aji Tomar Kache” are also covered in the album. Rajanikanta Sen’s “Shokhire Moromo Poroshe”, “Dhire Dhire More” and “Prem Jol Hoye Jao Gole” are also in the album.Bhul Kore BhalobeshechiBhul Kore Bhalobeshechi offers a number of modern Bangla tracks in Fahmida Nabi’s voice. With Ashu Chakraborty’s instrumentals, the lyrics of the album are penned by Golam Morshed and tuned by Nipo, Sajib Das, Lucky Akhand and Fahmida Nabi herself. “Ke Tumi”, “Joto Kotha”, “Tomari Kotha”, “Bhul Kore Bhalobeshechi” and “Ja Chole Ja” are some of the tracks on the album.Sarode RabindrasangeetThis insturmental album offers Tejendra Narayan’s performance of eight popular Rabindranath tracks with sarod. “Prothom Adi Tobo Shakti”, “Moharaj”, “Eki Shaje”, “Mor Bani Othe” and “Je Chilo Amar Shopnocharini” are among the covered songs in the album. All of the albums will shortly be available in well-known book and music outlets in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet.
