Hollywood is 'a mess of anxiety' as election results roll in

It is no secret that Hollywood is not particularly fond of President Trump. During the last four years, celebrities often went above and beyond to highlight the failings of the Trump administration, and they have been particularly outspoken about their political views in recent weeks.

From celebrating the first elected transgender state senator in US history to joking about popping Xanax to control election anxiety, Hollywood stars were seen pulling an all-nighter and sharing their reactions to the tight presidential race.

Oscar winning actor Charlize Theron celebrated Sarah McBride’s victory.

“The Avengers” actor Mark Ruffalo reminded fans to stay hopeful as Biden and Trump clash in an uncomfortably close race.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Seth Rogen urged Minnesota and Arizona voters to show up and stay in line.

While Schitt’s Creek creator Dan Levy expressed his gratitude towards the Biden-Harris campaign, model Chrissy Teigen expressed her fear of being forced into a handmaid’s fate if Trump wins.

The latest vote tally showed Democrat challenger Joe Biden with a lead in the Electoral College - 224 votes to 213, with 270 needed for victory - but with counting still to be completed in at least five major “battleground” states: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia.
