Shooting starts for ‘Ghore Boshe Aynabaji'

Aynabaji director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury has started shooting his upcoming web series titled Ghore Boshe Aynabaji via video conference.

The teaser of the webseries has already been aired and drawn a fair share of attention, in which Amitabh Reza is seen giving directions via video conferencing. He asks his lead actor Chanchal Chowdhury to fix the camera. He asks Nabila why she has put on so much make-up.

One by one, everyone confirms that they are ready for their respective performances and the shooting begins as part of the 'BRAC-Ainabaji Covid-19 Awareness Campaign'.

The purpose of this campaign is to create awareness about what needs to be done to prevent and contain the coronavirus crisis.

Aynabaji is set to return to the audiences with an awareness story wrapped in mystery in the midst of the coronavirus crisis. All actors, producer and crew members are working from home. Aynabaji, in collaboration with 'BRAC' and Australian Aid, is reurning in the form of a web series to raise awareness about the deadly clutches of Covid-19.

Amitabh Reza Chowdhury said: “Aynabaji is ingrained in people's minds. The goal is to inform the public that playing hide and seek with coronavirus won’t save us. At the same time, the ways as to how we can stay safe will also come up in this series.

Plot of the story and the characters of Aynabaji are equally adored by the audiences. The original Aynabaji series was made for the first time in the country during Eid. This time I believe that, from a place of social responsibility, this awareness series will again play a role amidst the pandemic.

Ziauddin Adil, the producer of Ghore boshe Aynabaji said “Culture has a role of responsibility to play. In this catastrophic time of Coronavirus crisis, the Aynabaji team has felt a responsibility to raise awareness among people, this is the point where initiatives have been taken to come up with ‘Ghore Boshe Aynabaji'. Thanks to BRAC and Australian Aid for coming forward in collaboration with such an awareness raising program.”

He added: “It's not just about the return of Aynabaji, it is also about setting up an example to make  a web series that can be made from scratch by staying at home.”

Moutushi Kabir, BRAC’s Director (Communications and Outreach) said: “What we all are going through, is the crisis of the Coronavirus pandemic, and the biggest thing needed to be done is raising awareness among the people. This is our initiative to spread the information about safety and precautionary measures among the people in easier and more familiar way through these popular characters of Aynabaji.”

The 6-8 minutes long duration of each episode of Ghore Boshe Aynabaji series reveals how Corona virus-infected ‘Ayna’ deals with various difficulties, and how neighbors and relatives come forward to help.
