Gaaner Raja winner Labiba debuts duet with Imran

Fairooz Labiba, the champion of TV reality show Gaaner Raja, will debut as a singer, by releasing a duet with Imran Mahmudul. The song titled Keno Eto Chai Toke is due for release on Tuesday 3pm.

Keno Eto Chai Toke was penned by Rabiul Islam Jibon, while the  music arrangement was done by Imran himself. According to a press statement, the song belongs in the romantic category.

The song is due for release under the CMV banner, and will also have an accompanying music video, directed by Saikat Reza. The models for the video are Kazi Asif, and Keya Akter Payel.

Regarding Labiba and her debut, Imran said in the press statement: "Labiba is very young. However, in terms of vocals she is as confident as any professional artiste. She has this different power in her vocals. I was impressed with her voice during the competition. I decided that I will make a song for her. After the conclusion of the competition, with complete sincerity, I attempted to follow through on that decision. I hope all of you will happily welcome Labiba with this song. And I thank CMV. They have always been supportive towards new talents."

Labiba said in the same statement: "My first official song is being released. I am really scared. I have tried to sing as per the guidance of Imran bhai. The rest can be apprised by the listeners. I am grateful to all who have worked for the song. Please pray for me."

Notably, the first edition of Gaaner Raja was held this year, and Labiba became the champion among 5000 contestants. Popular singer Imran was one of the judges in this competition.

Labiba was born in Khulna, and she is a student of grade six in Government Coronation Girls High School. Her elder sister Fairooz Maliha is also a singer. Maliha won the title of Channel i's singing competition Khude Gaan Raj in 2013.
