Noble finishes third in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

Bangladeshi singer Mainul Ahsan Noble has finished third in Zee Bangla's music reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Noble has consistently been among the top vote earners on the show, and rose to fame through his stellar performances throughout the competition.

Winner Ankit won a car and prize money amounting to Rupees 2 lakhs. The first runner up position is shared by Gourav and Snigdhajit, while Pritom and Noble shared the second runner-up position.

Regarding the results, Noble told reporters: "'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' is a popular reality show in both regions where Bangla is spoken. Through this show, I have gained popularity in both Bangladesh and West Bengal. Everyone liked my songs, and has given me love. I am grateful towards everyone.

"I have said before that my focus is to sing my songs perfectly instead of becoming champion,” he added. “I hope that, the support I have received from all of you will remain the same in the future.”

The grand finale of this year's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was shot a month ago at the World Bangla Convention Centre, and telecast on July 28. The winners were handed their awards on the same day.

Zee Bangla's reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa began in September last year. 48 Indian contestants participated in the competition with seven competitors from Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi competitors were Abontee Sithi, Tanzim Sharif, Rumana Eti, Mezba Bappy, Atia Anisa, Monty Sinha and Noble.

Noble was the only Bangladeshi to reach the grand finale, with everyone else eliminated at various stages.

The judges for the entire competition were Srikanto Acharya, Shantanu Moitra, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Monali Thakur and Pandit Tanmoy Bose.
