Miles, one of Bangladesh’s most popular rock bands, is celebrating 40 years in the music business this year.
The band has come a long way and on touching the milestone, the band members are getting ready to celebrate their accomplishments in a grand way – starting with a US tour.
Recently, the band signed a deal with Windmill Advertising Ltd for celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Talking about the celebration plans, Shafin Ahmed, vocalist and bassist of the band, said: “As we mentioned before we are starting the 40-year celebrations with consecutive concert tours, which will begin in the USA, then Canada, and Australia- if everything goes according to plan.
“Afterwards, when we come back to Bangladesh, celebrations will begin from November since that is a good season for outdoor shows.
“By the end of the year we will organize multiple events nationwide and full details will be revealed at a press conference in June.
“There will be a few live events outside Dhaka, and a grand concert in the capital with lots of surprises.
“We will end the celebrations with that mega concert, and we will launch (our own) merchandise.”
