Ben Affleck underwent treatment for alcoholism

Ben Affleck, who currently plays the Dark Knight aka Batman in DC Extended Universe, has recently admitted that he sought treatment for his alcohol addiction. The 44-year-old actor recently disclosed the whole matter on a Facebook post, “I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step.” His post further confirms that Affleck is happily co-parenting his three children — Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 — with estranged wife Jennifer Garner. “I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I’ve done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.” Despite their separation nearly two years ago, Affleck and Garner have remained close, living together much of the time and co-parenting their three kids. A source told People, that the duo still haven’t filed for divorce, which continues to be on hold despite recent complications.
