Presenters at the Oscars made a blunder Sunday by incorrectly announcing La La Land as the winner of Best Picture, when in fact Moonlight, directed by Barry Jenkins, won Best Picture.
It took a few minutes before they realised their mistake and by then the crew and cast of La La Land were already on stage accepting the Oscar that belongs to Moonlight.

The host, Jimmy Kimmel, joked and said, “I personally blame Steve Harvey for this,” referring to a similar blunder that Harvey made by announcing the wrong winner at the Miss Universe contest in 2015.
After the real winner was announced and the mistake was clarified, an incredulous Barry Jenkins accepted the Oscar saying, “Even in my dreams this could not be true. But to hell with dreams. This is true!”
