Emma Watson, boyfriend William Knight split up

Actor Emma Watson has called it quits with boyfriend William “Mack” Knight after almost being together for two years. The couple have been dating each other in secret, away from the limelight. The 27-year-old “Harry Potter” and “Beauty and the Beast” star was last seen with the 37-year-old tech entrepreneur, going on a dinner date in New York late May. However, the couple have parted ways, according to a source close to the Ivy League-educated pair told Page Six: “They amicably went [their] separate ways in early 2017.” The duo was first seen together in October 2015 at Broadway musical “Hamilton.” Knight graduated from Princeton in 2003 with a Bachelor’s in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and went on to get his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2011. He is a senior manager at Medallia, a California-based tech company. Speculation around Watson’s break up is believed to have been due to long distance and a busy filming schedule. However, it is not clear how often they managed to see each other. Watson has remained fiercely private about her love life. She told Vanity Fair in February: “I want to be consistent: I can’t talk about my boyfriend in an interview and then expect people not to take paparazzi pictures of me walking around outside my home. You can’t have it both ways.” When Page Six called her representative, no comments were given on the matter.
