Eid-ul-Azha means eating beef for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But who would like to eat beef every day? So, cook delicious payesh (a pudding/porridge, usually made by boiling milk, sugar or jaggery, and rice) with beef to make the food taste different.
What it takes to prepare the dish
300 grams of beef, 2.5 cups of liquid milk, 2 pieces of cinnamon, 2/3 of cardamom, 2/3 of cloves, 2 bay leaves, sugar to taste, salt to taste, ghee, one cup nut paste, crushed ginger, crushed garlic, crushed dry chillies, white pepper and ghee, raisins, cashews and pistachio nuts are crushed
Preparation method
- First take a pot on the stove and take two cups of water in it. Now boil the minced meat well in that water with half a teaspoon of salt.
- When the mince water dries up, turn off the stove.
- Now add one tablespoon of ghee in another bowl and add bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves and fry well and add boiled mince beef on it.
- When the minced meat is fried, mix it well with hot milk.
- When the milk is well mixed with the mince, stir again with the nut paste, sugar and salt to taste.
- When the mixture thickens, take the pot off the stove.
- Now take one teaspoon of ghee in another vessel and fry it well with one teaspoon of ginger, one teaspoon of garlic, one/two dry chillies and half a teaspoon of white pepper powder.
- Mix the mixture well with the milk and mince mixture.
- Now pour the beef payesh into serving bowls and top with raisins and chopped almonds.
