Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) participated as silver sponsor in the 2nd International Conference on Environment and Climate Action (ICECA 2026) held on August 7, organized by the Asian University for Women, Chattogram, Bangladesh, at Sonapahar Farmhouse Resort.
The conference brought together global experts, policymakers, and academics to address climate challenges through keynote, plenary, and oral sessions on key sustainability themes.
It featured the keynote “Two Deltas, One Commons: Women’s Leadership and the Future We Build Together,” followed by Plenary Session 1 on natural rights and energy governance, and Plenary Session 2 focusing on evidence-based climate policy and global strategies.
In addition, parallel Oral Presentation Sessions (Session A and Session B) showcased a wide range of research on climate risk, renewable energy planning, environmental perception and socio-economic impacts of climate change in Bangladesh and beyond.
The daylong conference concluded with a Prize Giving Ceremony, recognizing outstanding contributions in environmental research and innovation.
Faruk Ahmed, wholesale banking division; Mohammed Shahedul Islam Chowdhury, centre manager of the Privilege Banking Centre, and Md Mahady Hassan Talukder, relationship officer of the card division, represented Mutual Trust Bank PLC at the event.
