The government has promoted Md Babul Miah, additional secretary and chairman of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), to the rank of secretary.
Following his promotion, he has been retained in his position as the chairman of BCIC.
Md Babul Miah joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Administration Cadre in the 15th batch on November 15, 1995.
Throughout his career, he has successfully served in various field administration roles, including Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), and Additional Deputy Commissioner across different districts.
He has also held key positions in central administration across several ministries, including the Ministry of Public Administration, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, and the Ministry of Planning.
