Gold prices have been reduced again in the domestic market within a day, with the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) lowering the rate by Tk2,216 per bhori.
In a statement issued on Wednesday morning, Bajus said the new prices came into effect from 10am.
According to the latest rates, the price of 22-carat gold now stands at Tk242,495 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Under the revised pricing, 21-carat gold is being sold at Tk231,472 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk198,405, and traditional gold at Tk161,605 per bhori.
Bajus said the adjustment was made considering a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market.
Earlier, on April 28, the price of 22-carat gold was reduced by the same amount to Tk244,711 per bhori.
So far this year, gold prices have been adjusted 58 times in the country—32 increases and 26 reductions. In 2025, prices were adjusted 93 times, with 64 increases and 29 reductions.
