A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on November 13 between Germany's RAAC Solar and Bangladesh's Safari Trade International.

The signing ceremony was attended by Md Abdur Razzaque, CEO of Safari Trade International, and Juergen Raach, managing director of RAAC Solar.

This agreement marks the beginning of long-term cooperation between the two companies in the implementation of rooftop solar projects, technology transfer, and the broader renewable energy sector.

Safari Trade International is a diversified business conglomerate in Bangladesh, encompassing Safari Renewable Energy, Safari Waterproofing, Safari Engineering, Safari Fire Safety Engineering, and Safari Trading.

For the past 13 years, the company has been actively involved in the renewable energy sector at both government and private levels, developing specialized expertise in  nstalling solar irrigation pumps and pure water supply systems.

On the other hand, Germany's RAAC Solar is a company with extensive experience in the design and implementation of solar rooftop systems.

Their technical expertise and engineering capabilities have established them as a trusted name in Europe's renewable energy sector.

Under this MoU, both entities will collaborate to jointly implement solar rooftop system projects in Bangladesh, facilitate the exchange of technology and skills, provide training for
local workforce, promote local assembly and manufacturing of solar components, and introduce smart energy solutions.

Regarding this partnership, Md Abdur Razzaque, CEO of Safari Trade International, stated: "This partnership will synergize German technology with our local expertise. It will make a significant contribution to Bangladesh's renewable energy sector and create green jobs."

Juergen Raach, managing director of RAAC Solar, commented: "We are proud to share our technology and experience with the Bangladeshi market. We believe this cooperation will support Bangladesh's sustainable energy future and contribute to achieving the renewable energy goals set by the Government of Bangladesh."

Through this MoU, the combination of advanced German technology and Bangladeshi local expertise aims to increase the use of solar energy across various industrial plants, commercial buildings, public and private high-rises, and other large infrastructures.

A key objective is to reduce the load on the national grid and lower carbon emissions.
