Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) have signed an agreement for collecting the electricity bills of Palli Bidyut's customers through the online and mobile banking systems of the bank.
In presence of Dipankar Biswas, member of BREB (Finance) (Joint Secretary), Md Mostafizur Rahman Siddiquee, chief human resources officer and Md Hosen Patwary, controller of finance and accounts of BREB signed the agreement on March 6 at BREB board room, reads a press release.
Mizanur Rahman and Md Maksudur Rahman, senior executive vice presidents, AKM Mahbub Morshed, executive vice president of IBBL and Md Masud Parvez, director of Financial Monitoring Department of BREB, Md Abdul Hye, secretary of BREB along with top executives of both organizations attended the program.
Under this agreement customers of Palli Bidyut Samity can pay their bills through branches, sub-branch, agent outlets, cards, payment gateway, mcash, wallets and cellfin along with other digital services of the bank by using the API of BREB.
