JCI Dhaka Sparks forms new board for 2023

JCI Dhaka Sparks, an extension of JCI Bangladesh and Junior Chamber International formed its new board for 2023 at the General Assembly held at Hotel Bengal Blueberry in Dhaka on December 15.

The new board will be led by its Local President (elect) Noor E Alam Bhuiyan was officially sworn into office at an oath-taking ceremony in the presence of distinguished special guest Shamim Ahmed, head of CRMD at Mercantile Bank Ltd and members of the National Governing Board of JCI Bangladesh, reads a press release.

The 13-member board comprises Immediate Past Local President Senator Shahmina Isha Mannan, Executive Vice President Sigma Haider and Vice Presidents, Tukhbita Afroz Nawmi, Nigel Gabriel Mendes and Ashabus Safa.  

Sumaya Mahmud Sharna will serve as Secretary General while Raihan Ahmed Dip assume the office of General Legal Counsel (GLC) and Farzana Sultana Mow as the Treasurer. 

Shakir Shaheed Ahmad, Altap Hossen, SM Nazmul Hoque, Wafi Aziz Sattar were sworn in as Directors. 

More importantly as Committee Chairs Md Iqbal, Mostafijur Rahman Shuvo, Ummul Gofran Nazibah will be leading strategic aspects.

The new board is set to address socio-economic development aligning projects with SDGs and sustainable finance while aiding members on personal development and brand coverage of the JCI banner.

JCI is a worldwide membership-based non-profit organisation of young active citizens aged 18 to 40 who are dedicated to creating positive change in their communities and JCI Dhaka Sparks is among the new founding local chapters of JCI Bangladesh.
