With a view to recognizing the significant contributions of a renowned engineer of the country, the Late Saifuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, founder director & chairman of Associated Builders Corporation Limited (ABC) and sponsor director of Mutual Trust Bank, MTB Foundation recently organized the Scholarship Distribution Ceremony of Saifuddin Ahmed Chowdhury Memorial Scholarship Program at the Academic Council Bhaban of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet).
Through this partnership, 33 deserving students from 12 different departments of Buet are being financially supported on a monthly basis.
Professor Dr Satya Prasad Majumder, vice-chancellor of Buet graced the event as the chief guest while Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury, director & chairman of MTB Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC), Mutual Trust Bank was present as the special guest.
Md Abdul Malek, vice chairman of Mutual Trust Bank was present at the event as the guest of honour.
The program was also attended by Professor Dr Md Mizanur Rahman, director of the Directorate of Student's Welfare (DSW) from Buet, Goutam Prosad Das, deputy managing director & GHOICC, Rais Uddin Ahmad, deputy managing director & CAMLCO of Mutual Trust Bank and Samia Chowdhury, chief Executive officer of MTB Foundation.
