Shippers' Council’s 4th meeting of Board of Directors for the term 2022, 2023 held

The fourth meeting of the board of directors of the Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) for the term 2022 and 2023 was held on Tuesday in its own office’s conference room, Dhanmondi, Dhaka under the chairmanship of Md Rezaul Karim.

The meeting approved the minutes of the previous meeting, account statement and cost of relief which was distributed among the flood-affected people in various areas of Sunamganj, Moulvibazar and Tangail districts under CSR activities, reads a press release. The board also decided to enhance the salaries of the SCB employees.

Besides that, the Board decided to participate in the upcoming annual meeting of the Global Shippers’ Alliance (GSA) and Asian Shippers’ Alliance (ASA), which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on October 10-12, 2022. 

A delegation led by SCB Chairman Md Rezaul Karim, who is also the Vice Chairman of ASA will attend the meeting. Apart from Bangladesh, European, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysian, Korean and Thai Shippers’ Council; Macau Shippers’ Association and American Association of Exporters and Importers representatives are expected to attend the meeting.

Senior Vice Chairman Md Ariful Ahsan; Vice Chairman AKM Aminul Mannan (Khokon) and Directors: Md Munir Hossain; Arzu Rahman Bhuiyan; Syed Md Bakhtiar; Md Nurussafa Babu; Ganesh Chandra Saha, Ataur Rahman Khan & KM Arifuzzaman also attended the board meeting.
