Ministry of Industries awarded National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award, 2022 to Fair Electronics Limited.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over the award in a grand ceremony at a city hotel on Sunday afternoon, reads a press release.
Fair Electronics achieved first prize in the Steel & Engineering Category. Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Fair Group Kazi Nasir Uddin received the award on behalf of Fair Electronics. Through this, Fair Electronics achieved recognition by the Bangladeshi government as the best manufacturing company in the country.
State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder and Senior Vice President of FBCCI Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu attended the ceremony as special guests which was presided by Secretary of the Ministry of Industries Zakia Sultana.
Ministry of Industries awards the National Productivity and Excellence Award every year to different companies in recognition of their contribution to Industrialization, employment generation and contribution to the national economy. This year, 26 manufacturing and service sector companies received the award.
A trade body and association is also awarded Institutional Appreciation Award, 2020 in the ceremony.
Leading technology entrepreneur and Fair Group Chairman Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub founded Fair Electronics Limited which established its state of the art manufacturing industry at Shibpur, Narsingdi. Fair Electronics is manufacturing smartphone and consumer electronics products of globally leading brand Samsung in that factory and distributing all around the country.
Earlier, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) awarded Fair Electronics Limited as the Highest VAT Payer at National Level for the FY2018-19. Fair Group Chairman Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub is honored as CIP. The government also awarded Fair Electronics as the First Manufacturer of Global Brand in Bangladesh.
