The 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Crop Protection Association (BCPA) was held on Wednesday at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital.
Syed A M Asfakul Abedin, chairman, Election Board of BCPA announced the name of newly elected office bearers, reads a press release.
M Sayeduzzaman of Mimpex Agrochemicals Limited has been announced as the Chairman and Md Moazzem Hossain Palash of Assign Crop Care Limited has been announced as the new Secretary-General.
Meanwhile, other office bearers are — AHM Sadrul Alam of Aungkur Traders (Vice-Chairman), Md Reaz Uddin Ahmed of Bayer crop Science Limited (Joint Secretary-General), SM Khaled of Ingenious Crop Science Limited (Organizing Secretary), Md Abdul Alim of Padma Agro Sprayers Co (Publicity Secretary), Dr Md Mahbubur Rahman Gazi of M R Enterprise (Treasurer).
Meanwhile, Ataur Rahman Khan of Agro Winner Limited, Md Manzurul Huda of Sweet Agrovet Limited and Md Mizanur Rahman Khan of Siraj Agro International Limited, Md Marufuzzaman of Gurpukur Corporation and Md Sohelur Rahman of National AgriCare Import and Export Limited are Executive Committee members.
The newly elected office bearers commit to serving members and stakeholders by safeguarding agricultural production and carrying forward the goals of the pesticide industry to maintain food security for a healthy life for people.
