Quader: Bangladesh will follow its own constitution

Challenging those who seek to obstruct elections, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Friday that Bangladesh will adhere to its constitution and conduct a free and fair election in accordance with it.

BNP hopes govt will allow Khaleda Zia’s treatment aboard

Khaleda Zia's family looking at hospitals in four countries

The family of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia is looking at hospitals in four other countries in preparation for taking her abroad if the government grants permission for her to leave the country.

Six more uranium shipments in next six weeks

Bangladesh has already received the first of seven consignments of uranium for the first unit of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP), and six more shipments are set to arrive in the next six weeks, Project Director Shaukat Akbar confirmed on Friday.

Awami League-BNP clash in Chittagong leaves one dead, 20 injured

A Chhatra League activist died and at least 20 others were injured in a clash between the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the ruling Awami League in Chittagong’s Mirsharai upazila on Friday.
