Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in parts of the Barisal and Chittagong divisions as rain and thundershowers are expected across the country in the next 24 hours from 9am on Wednesday, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
According to a weather bulletin issued this morning, light to moderately heavy rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely at most places over the Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions and at many places over the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at places over Barisal and Chittagong divisions, it added.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country.
The highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 33.8°C in Sreemangal, while Wednesday's lowest temperature was 23.5°C in Sylhet.
In the past 24 hours till 6am Wednesday, Hatiya recorded the highest rainfall of 50 millimetres.
The sun will set at 6:47pm Wednesday and rise at 5:23am Thursday in Dhaka.
