Rain likely across Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday forecast rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am. 

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions," said a Met office bulletin.

Besides, it said, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur in places all over the country.

Day and night temperatures may rise by 1-3 degrees Celsius over the country.

The highest temperature on Monday was 32.6 degrees Celsius in Jessore, while Tuesday's minimum temperature is 23.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet. 

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 110 millimeters occurred in Comilla.
