Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on Saturday called upon the international community, as well as global and regional partners, to support the safe, dignified, and sustainable repatriation of forcibly displaced Rohingyas to their places of origin in Myanmar.
He made the appeal while speaking at a panel discussion titled "Forced Displacement and International Responsibility" during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2025 in Antalya, Turkiye, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the discussion, Touhid offered a historical overview of the origins of the Rohingya crisis and highlighted its implications for both regional and global affairs.
He also stressed that the regularization of legal migration processes would help curb the tendency for irregular border crossings.
The three-day ADF 2025 commenced on Friday in Antalya.
Hosted by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, this year’s forum is themed "Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World."
The theme underscores the urgent need for diplomacy to reassert itself as a stabilizing force amid growing global divisions.
