A Rohingya leader was stabbed to death in a refugee camp in Ukhiya upazila of Cox's Bazar on Saturday night.
The deceased was Md Rashid, leader and resident of A/5 Block of Rohingya camp No 15.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Md Farooq Ahmed said three miscreants stabbed Rashid and escaped. After he was taken to the camp hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he said.
Legal action will be taken against those involved in the incident, he added.
