Fuel prices to remain unchanged in May

The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has announced that fuel prices will remain unchanged for the month of May.

The decision is part of the government’s monthly adjustment mechanism, which aligns domestic fuel prices with fluctuations in the international market.

In a press release issued on Thursday, the ministry confirmed that prices will stay at April’s revised levels.

Accordingly, diesel will continue to be priced at Tk 115 per litre, octane at Tk 140 per litre, petrol at Tk 135 per litre, and kerosene at Tk 130 per litre.

The government last revised fuel prices on April 18, when it increased the rates of all major fuel types in the domestic market.
